UnitedHealth Group volunteers at MICC’s Mock Interviews!

College Second Year Mock Interviews ()

This month, MICC College participants put their interview skills to the test during Mock Interviews with volunteers from UnitedHealth Group. These practice sessions give participants the opportunity to build confidence, practice answering common interview questions, receive constructive feedback, and sharpen the skills they’ll need as they begin their job search journeys.

Mock Interviews are a meaningful milestone for our College participants—helping turn classroom learning into real-world readiness and reminding them that they belong in professional spaces and have valuable strengths to share.

As MICC participants move through the College program, they aim to find steady employment after graduation. Our careers curriculum has participants steadily building job and employment skills over time, within what’s called an E1MN (Engage, Plan, Find, Keep) Framework. This accredited training bridges the gap between talent and opportunity. Participants explore their strengths and interests and how they align with a career. Then they select an industry certificate program authorized by Century College. Certificates include digital careers, food service/hospitality and health & human services. Mock interviews are a crucial step in practicing their interview skills with someone they are unfamiliar with, who can provide real world feedback on seeking employment!

A huge thank you to the UnitedHealth Group volunteers who generously shared their time, encouragement, and expertise. We’re so grateful for your partnership!
