Congratulations to September’s Participants of the Month – Owen and Emily! MICC’s Participants of the Month are awarded by nominations from both peers and staff for individuals who have clearly demonstrated one or more of our three R’s: responsibility, resilience, and respect.
Owen, a College program senior, was nominated because he’s been showing up to classes, arriving on time and being present & participatory in a positive way. Owen has asked thoughtful questions and responded thoughtfully as well. He’s shown tremendous growth in his time here at MICC.
Emily is a Community program participant who graduated all the way back in 2009! She loves anything involving cats and crafts and even has her own feline fur-baby: a Calico named Callie! She’s always kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with new participants who enter the program.
