How to prepare for a successful MICC experience.
See Yourself at College
Since 1996, our College program has helped hundreds of autistic and neurodivergent individuals live the lives they want to live.
The cornerstone of MICC is our 3-year College program. Participants transition into adulthood by living in furnished on-campus apartments, earning career certificates, and connecting with the world through a variety of explorations and retreats. Within the safety and freedom of our community, participants accomplish things they never imagined before coming to MICC. From daily living tasks, like taking public transportation or managing your finances, to building and sustaining a career, a support system and lifelong relationships, at MICC you will begin creating the life YOU want to lead.
For those with autism, ADHD / ADD, or other neurological, developmental or learning disability.
Participants are between the ages of 18-30 years of age.
Must have a high school degree or equivalency.

College Program
MICC’s transformative College program provides autistic and neurodivergent adults with the tools and services they need to create the lives they want to live. Within an innovative framework of experiential learning — we learn best by doing — participants build independent-living, career and social skills steadily over time, at their own pace, and with the caring guidance of our expert staff.
Independent Living
MICC’s Independent Living Skills (ILS) curriculum helps participants meet the challenges of daily life. Exploring all areas of “adulting”, our team meets each participant where they’re at right now and develops a personalized plan for them to steadily build the necessary skills over time. ILS classes include personal care, meal planning and preparation, fitness and nutrition, financial skills, home care and personal organization.

Thriving in community
MICC’s social curriculum does not aim to make neurodivergent people act neurotypical. It helps participants build social-emotional skills to promote healthy relationships, manage stress and anxiety and work collaboratively while being authentically themselves. Participants practice those skills in various ways, but most are through fun on-campus activities and off-campus excursions, social engagement courses, and retreats. Participants discover peers who share their interests and create lasting friendships.
It's all in the mix!
College participants are assessed by the growth and development of their skills throughout the program. With our stair-step approach to instruction, participants are prepared for higher levels of independence at the program’s completion.
