Rochester’s KTTC TV visited campus to interview MICC staff and participants, including Josie who is originally from Rochester! The interviews discussed how MICC programs empower participants to live independently with thriving careers and vibrant social lives.
The reporter spoke with Chief Program Officer Anna Hilfers and MICC participant Josie about what MICC offers, explaining that our programming provides furnished apartments for College students, hands-on classes and training teaching individuals how to cook and clean, along with financial and career readiness skills.
When asked about how she felt before and after attending MICC, Josie shared, “The old Josie would never have done this [interview] because I was so like nervous. But coming here, it’s open to a whole new world and I really just love my life.”
