MICC Processed Full Russell Heeter Photography

MICC Ambassador class is an elective where College and Community participants can learn how to represent and promote MICC. This may include attending events, tours, Experience Days, tabling, creating social media content, and more! They also get inside info from staff presenters about what’s coming up soon at MICC, so they can provide feedback and help staff promote new initiatives.

Ambassador class is led by staff members from MICC’s Admissions and Development teams. At the end of each semester, each MICC Ambassador is asked to fill out a reflection on how their experience went. Gaby ‘21 shares her reflections below:

What do you like about ambassador class?
I like that Ambassador class helps me feel more confident and comfortable talking to others. I also like getting to work with my peers and learning how to represent MICC in a positive way.

What is something you learned?
I learned how to communicate more clearly and professionally, especially when meeting new people or talking about MICC. I also learned more about teamwork and leadership.

What is something you enjoyed doing?
I enjoyed group discussions and activities where we practiced ambassador skills together. I liked learning through hands-on activities instead of just listening.

What is something you hope we can do in the future?
I hope we can do more real-life ambassador opportunities like helping at events, giving tours, or practice public speaking in fun ways.

Anything else?
THANK YOU for creating a supportive and encouraging class environment. I feel proud to be an ambassador and appreciate the support from staff and peers.

One of the best parts of ambassador class is giving our own participants the opportunity to share their experiences with those interested in attending MICC. If you sign up for our upcoming Experience Days on February 19 & 20, you can hear from a group of our ambassadors in a Q&A panel! Sign up here and bring your questions about campus life!
