When I was young, Christ made a claim on my life to proclaim the Gospel and be part of fulfilling the Great Commission. I see evangelism as the highest calling of the church, and worship as the greatest gift we can give God. I love preaching, creative worship, and providing pastoral care. In my role at the church, I try to be a visionary, leading by example as well as by equipping the congregation and staff to implement our vision to be a church where you are welcomed and loved.
When I’m not shepherding God’s flock, I love spending time with my wife Wendy and my daughters Kristin, Allison and Lauren. I also enjoy writing-- it is a great communication tool for extending God’s word beyond the boundaries of the sanctuary. [Editor’s Note: Greg is an accomplished writer and poet, with a number of published books and periodicals. His articles appear in Today's Christian, The Covenant Companion, Focus on the Family and others. He is also heard as a freelance journalist on the Salem Radio Network.]
