Our
church, like the Covenant denomination, has a great
Missions heritage. We have sent out dozens of
full-time missionaries and short-term missions
teams. MICC has contributed to and shared in the
ministries of missionaries or missions that span the
globe:

Kenya |
| Alaska |
Dallas |
Oregon |
| Bulgaria |

Our
primary goals are to:
Facilitate world-wide evangelism by remaining
faithful in supporting missionaries/ministries in
which our church has been blessed with the opportunity
to maintain a participating share;
Serve as a conduit for effective communication between
those missionaries/ministries and MICC so that our
congregation can be individually blessed by providing
prayer and other needed support; and
Encourage participation in short-term and/or long-term
missions, consistent with God’s call.

In the past year, we averaged a missions presentation to
the congregation about once a month and missions
articles have appeared in each edition of the
Lamplighter newsletters. The contents of the displays on
our missionaries & ministries in the 2nd floor hallway
near classroom 201 are regularly updated.
Our partnership with the First Presbyterian Church of
Bellevue and Gig Harbor Presbyterian has successfully
allowed us to combine our resources to launch a new
Agros program called Journey with a Village (JWAV).
Under JWAV, we’re in the fourth year of our five year
commitment to walk alongside 25 Ixil Indian families in
building the new village of La Esperanza on 57 acres of
land already purchased by Agros. MICC, in concert with
the other two churches, will continue to support three
or four trips annually.
